This brand of air purifier is made by Sharper Image, a company that generally sells a lot of "luxury" electronics and other products. The Ionic Breeze Quadra air purifier is the one that you see on all those commercials - getting rid of pet danders, mold, and other junk that you find floating around in the air. These can get pretty expensive as air purifiers go - there are some really high end ones that are designed to take care of your house and cost even more, but the Ionic Breeze Quadra is still on the upper end of the expense curve.

Sharper Image's air purifiers are extremely compact as air purifiers go, and the Quadra doesn't take up very much space. There are some pluses and minuses for going with this brand:
The Good:
Even people who don't like this product agree that it is one of the most quiet on the market. A lot of cleaners are extremely noisy - the Ionic Breeze Quadra air purifier doesn't have this problem, and that is a major plus. The effectiveness gets mixed reports - some people say it's amazing, others have reported that it is horrible. Most agree that for odors at least, it is a very good brand. You also don't have to continuously buy new filters - that's a big plus on the cost front. You pay more up front, but many other brands require you to buy a hundred dollar filter every year.
The Bad:
Consumer Reports has given it some pretty bad reviews. There was actually a lawsuit over this, which Sharper Image lost, and it isn't very confidence inspiring to see them suing over a critical news report about their product. It will need to be regularly cleaned - this is the consequence of not needing to get new filters. If you're giving it a heavy duty job, this can be up to once a week - but it will probably vary based on how much pollution is in the air in your house.
