Air Purifier Review

There are a couple of potential problems that are common to many brands, and this air purifier review page will point out a couple of them to you. First - always make sure that you are either comfortable with a little noise or that you buy a relatively silent brand. This is somewhat subjective, but there are many brands of air purifier that people complain about as being too loud. You can do a couple of things to get around this - buy multiple ones, which will let you run them on a lower setting and still get rid of most of the pollutants. Or, you can get a brand that has a timer - this way, you can run it on high when you're not at home, and on low when you're there and you need it to be quiet. Second - watch out for ozone-based air purifier products. Ozone is a harmful gas - it is used in many brands to clean the air, kill germs, etc. You probably don't want to get one that utilizes ozone - the EPA doesn't recommend it and has issued a warning about it that you can often generate harmful levels of ozone even if you're using them properly. Ozone can concentrate around the air purifier, so even if it is safe elsewhere it may be dangerous in certain parts of the room. You're better off just avoiding the issue and getting another kind - HEPA filters are good, but it's expensive to replace them. There are some other alternatives you can look into as well featured on the site.
