Does an Air Purifier help with pet fur and dander?

I have a cat, and it is a very noticeable effect. It's very easy to tell that it's helping just because I can see all the fur collected on the grill of the air purifier. The only downside: depending on the pet's fur, you may have to clean it off fairly often. For me, it was clogging up the vents on the front and making it harder for the air to circulate, so I'd have to wipe it off every 3-4 days. But it definitely reduced the amount of fur I found the cat shedding all around the house, and that's a big benefit if you've got a pet someone's allergic to or you just don't want to be cleaning it up off everything all the time.
