Do air purifiers help with mold and fungus?

For mold and fungus, you're going to want to get a brand that has ultraviolet technology. This is your best bet mainly because it can irradiate small organisms such as the spores - air purifiers with HEPA filters are fine enough to get a lot of the spores out of the air, but you may want that something extra to help out in killing the living organisms that make it through. An air purifier will help with your problems and can reduce the mold count in the air, which is great for people with allergies. But it's also important to try to remove the source if you can. If your house is humid or has mold somewhere, get it removed. Don't just rely on an air purifier to reduce the effects - it will help, but it won't solve your problem in the long run.
